The act of artistic endeavour is largely, for me, intuitive but not always, two qualifications:

            1. A previous work may inform a later one.

            2. Architectonics will show up (having once studied the subject).

There is always the supposition, inter alia, of success on the canvas breeding repetition - something I believe is to be avoided, this may be difficult to achieve bearing in mind galleries, once finding a successful modus, are keen to use this 'sameness' for the promotion of sales, aided by ourselves pushing from behind - the cult of self.
Which of course brings all this neatly to the impossible, the pursuit of the sublime, which I suspect involves the absolute, a pursuit that drives one on with resurgent commitment that one day one might succeed however unlikely it seems.
